How can believers prepare for judgment?
In what ways can believers prepare for God's final judgment as described here?

Setting the Scene

Revelation 15:6 pictures “the seven angels with the seven plagues, dressed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests.” These heavenly messengers emerge from the very temple of God, ready to unleash His final judgments. The verse is a sober reminder that the end-time wrath is certain, righteous, and near. How, then, should believers respond?

Embrace the Certainty of Judgment

• Accept God’s warnings as literal and sure (Revelation 22:6–7).

• Let the reality of coming wrath shape daily priorities (2 Peter 3:10–11).

Clothe Yourself in Purity

The angels wear “pure, bright linen”––a symbol of holiness. Believers are called to the same.

• Pursue practical holiness: “Without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

• Daily confess and forsake sin (1 John 1:9).

• Cultivate obedience: “Let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity…perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1).

• Remember that righteous deeds are our “fine linen, bright and clean” (Revelation 19:7–8).

Live With Eternal Urgency

• Stay alert: “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matthew 24:42).

• Manage time and resources for Kingdom purposes (Ephesians 5:15–17).

• Hold loosely to earthly attachments (Colossians 3:1–2).

Persevere in Worship

Immediately after the angels appear, heaven bursts into song (Revelation 15:3–4).

• Make worship a lifestyle, not a Sunday routine (Psalm 34:1).

• Worship anchors the heart amid approaching judgment (Philippians 4:4–7).

• Corporate worship strengthens perseverance (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Stand Firm in Faithful Witness

• Share the gospel “while it is day” (John 9:4).

• Love others enough to warn them (Ezekiel 33:7–9).

• Model hope; the world notices calm courage (1 Peter 3:15–16).

Put On Spiritual Armor

• Gird yourself with truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Word, and prayer (Ephesians 6:10–18).

• Spiritual battles intensify as judgment nears; armor is not optional.

Rest in Christ’s Righteousness

• Our ultimate preparation is the finished work of Jesus: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

• Abide in Him daily (John 15:4–5).

• Trust His promise: “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of trial” (Revelation 3:10).

Looking Ahead

Prepared believers stand secure, purified, and purpose-driven, eagerly awaiting the day when God’s judgments will vindicate His holiness and usher in His eternal kingdom.
