How can daily actions glorify God?
In what ways can we glorify God through our daily actions and words?

Setting the Scene: Luke 4:14

“Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.”

Living in the Power of the Spirit

• Jesus’ daily life radiated the Spirit’s power, and the result was God’s fame, not merely His own.

• When we walk in that same Spirit, our ordinary routines become platforms for God’s glory.

Glorifying God with Everyday Choices

• Dependence: Begin tasks by acknowledging His strength (John 15:5).

• Integrity: Keep promises, submit honest reports, refuse shortcuts (Proverbs 11:1).

• Excellence: Offer your best work as worship (Colossians 3:23–24).

• Gratitude: Express thanks aloud, turning conversations toward God’s goodness (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

• Service: Look for unnoticed needs—carry groceries, help a coworker, babysit for free (Galatians 6:9–10).

Glorifying God with Speech

• Blessing over complaining (Ephesians 4:29).

• Truth over exaggeration (Proverbs 12:22).

• Encouragement over gossip (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

• Confession of Christ whenever opportunity arises (Romans 10:9–10).

Following Jesus’ Pattern from Luke 4

1. Filled: Seek the Spirit through Scripture and prayer before the day starts.

2. Active: Step into workplaces, classrooms, kitchens “in the power of the Spirit.”

3. Witness: Let God’s reputation, not self-promotion, spread because of your conduct.

Scripture Connections

1 Corinthians 10:31—“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.”

Colossians 3:17—“Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Matthew 5:16—“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Practical Starter Ideas

• Pray over your calendar each morning.

• Choose one coworker or neighbor to bless anonymously this week.

• Replace negative social-media posts with a verse or testimony.

• End the day recounting aloud at least three ways God revealed Himself.

Anticipated Fruit

• Personal joy deepens (Nehemiah 8:10b).

• Others notice Christ’s character in you (Acts 4:13).

• God’s name, not yours, becomes the topic of conversation—just as news about Jesus spread throughout Galilee (Luke 4:14).
