How can we share God's salvation?
In what ways can we "proclaim" God's salvation to those around us?

The call in Psalm 96:2

“Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.”

What “proclaim” means here

• Speak out—use words, not hints

• Make public—let it be heard beyond our private circles

• Do it continually—“from day to day” signals a lifestyle, not a moment

Why this matters

• Salvation is God’s greatest gift; silence would be neglect (Romans 1:16)

• We were saved to be heralds (1 Peter 2:9)

• Every person’s eternity is at stake (Acts 4:12)

Practical ways to proclaim God’s salvation

1. With our mouths

▸ Share your personal testimony—how the Lord rescued you (Psalm 107:2)

▸ Present the gospel clearly: humanity’s sin, Christ’s cross, the need for repentance and faith (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

▸ Read or quote Scripture aloud in conversations (Isaiah 55:11)

2. Through worship that spills outside church walls

▸ Sing, hum, or play songs that exalt Christ where others can hear (Psalm 40:3)

▸ Bless His name in everyday speech—“Thank the Lord” rather than a vague “I’m lucky”

3. By written and digital witness

▸ Post verses, insights, or testimonies on social media

▸ Write letters, texts, or emails that include the gospel (Philippians 1:5)

4. In acts of compassionate service

▸ Meet practical needs, then explain the motive: God first met our greatest need (Matthew 5:16)

▸ Volunteer in community outreach that permits verbal gospel sharing

5. In our homes

▸ Talk of salvation with children at meals and bedtimes (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

▸ Welcome guests and speak of the Lord naturally over coffee or dinner

6. Through consistent, distinctive conduct

▸ Live so honorably that questions arise (1 Peter 3:15)

▸ Reject compromise; holiness reinforces our words (Titus 2:10)

Keeping the proclamation fresh

• Abide in Christ daily; overflowing hearts speak easiest (John 15:5)

• Memorize key salvation verses to stay ready (2 Timothy 2:15)

• Pray for open doors and boldness (Colossians 4:3-4)

The bottom line

Proclaiming God’s salvation is not an optional add-on—it is woven into the very reason we were redeemed. Let each day carry His saving news to someone new until the whole earth “ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name” (Psalm 96:8).
