How to grasp My strength daily?
How can we "take hold of My strength" in our daily lives?

Invited to Grasp God’s Power

“Or let them take hold of My strength; let them make peace with Me—yes, let them make peace with Me.” (Isaiah 27:5)

God’s own voice calls us to wrap our fingers around His limitless might. This is not poetic exaggeration; it is a literal offer. He wants us to seize His power for every ordinary and extraordinary moment.

What “My Strength” Means

• His covenant faithfulness—Exodus 15:2

• His saving power in Christ—1 Corinthians 1:24

• His unfailing character—Psalm 18:1-2

Taking hold of Him is both a relationship and a resource: we embrace the Person and receive the power.

Practical Ways to Take Hold of His Strength

1. Agree with God about peace

• “Let them make peace with Me.” Surrender breaks down the wall of self-reliance.

Romans 5:1: “Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2. Cling to Christ, the Vine

John 15:5: “Apart from Me you can do nothing.”

• Strength flows when we stay attached—daily trust, obedience, dependence.

3. Feed on His Word

Jeremiah 15:16: “Your words became my joy and my heart’s delight.”

• Scriptural truth fortifies the inner man; the Spirit uses it to infuse power.

4. Pray with expectation

Ephesians 3:16: “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being.”

• Ask specifically for the strength He promises; thank Him that it is already granted in Christ.

5. Put on spiritual armor

Ephesians 6:10-11: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God.”

• Each piece—truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, salvation, the Word—channels His strength into life’s battles.

Habits That Keep Our Grip Secure

• Regular confession—1 John 1:9 keeps fellowship unclogged.

• Corporate worship—Hebrews 10:25 ignites shared courage.

• Serving others—1 Peter 4:11: “Whoever serves is to do so as one who serves by the strength God supplies.”

• Remembering past deliverances—Psalm 77:11 fuels current trust.

• Resting—Isaiah 30:15: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.”

Encouragement for Every Season

• When weary: Isaiah 40:31—“Those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength.”

• When confident: 1 Corinthians 10:12—“Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”

• When weak: 2 Corinthians 12:9—“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.”

• When facing opportunity: Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

Hold on. His strength is not a passing spark—it is an unbreakable lifeline, offered, accessible, and always enough for today.
