How to honor God daily?
How can we "glorify the God and Father" in our daily lives?

Anchored in Romans 15:6

“so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

What It Means to Glorify the God and Father

• To glorify is to display the worth, beauty, and supremacy of God so that He is seen as He truly is.

• Scripture treats this as our highest purpose: “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Living Out Unity of Mind and Voice

• Unity springs from shared truth: “Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

• It is expressed in harmonious speech: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… with all wisdom.” (Colossians 3:16)

• It reflects Christ’s prayer: “that they may all be one… so that the world may believe.” (John 17:21)

Daily Habits That Magnify the Father

1. Word-Centered Thinking

– Start and end the day in Scripture (Psalm 1:2).

– Memorize key passages that fuel praise (Psalm 103).

2. Unified Worship

– Gather consistently with believers (Hebrews 10:25).

– Sing aloud “with one voice,” letting your heart agree with the lyrics (Ephesians 5:19).

3. God-Honoring Speech

– Speak words that build up (Ephesians 4:29).

– Refuse grumbling; choose gratitude (Philippians 2:14).

4. Self-Sacrificing Love

– Meet tangible needs (1 John 3:17).

– Practice hospitality without complaint (1 Peter 4:9).

5. Obedient Service

– Treat everyday tasks as service to Christ (Colossians 3:23-24).

– Share the gospel openly (Matthew 28:19-20).

6. Continual Praise

– Offer “a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name.” (Hebrews 13:15)

– Give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Guarding Against Disunity and Self-Glory

• Reject pride: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition… in humility consider others as more important.” (Philippians 2:3)

• Confront sin quickly, pursue reconciliation (Matthew 5:23-24).

• Keep Christ, not personal preference, at the center (Romans 14:19).

Snapshots from the Early Church

Acts 2:46-47 shows believers “of one accord… praising God,” and the result was daily growth.

Acts 4:32 describes a congregation “one in heart and mind,” tangibly sharing possessions.

A Closing Encouragement

Every ordinary moment—when shaped by shared truth, loving unity, and joyful obedience—becomes an opportunity to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
