How to trust God's deliverance?
What steps can we take to trust God's deliverance as shown in Deuteronomy 7:23?

Anchored in His Promise

“ But the LORD your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion until they are destroyed.” (Deuteronomy 7:23)

Steps That Strengthen Our Trust

- Fix your eyes on the One who fights for you. “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the LORD’s salvation” (Exodus 14:13–14; cf. Romans 8:31).

- Recall every past deliverance. Israel was told, “Do not be afraid; remember what the LORD your God did” (Deuteronomy 7:18; Psalm 105:5). Rehearsing God’s track record fuels present confidence.

- Immerse your mind in Scripture. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17; Joshua 1:8). The promises you feed on become the promises you stand on.

- Choose immediate, wholehearted obedience. Blessing follows obedience (Deuteronomy 7:12; John 14:21). Doing what He says positions you to watch Him do what only He can.

- Eliminate compromises and competing loyalties. Israel had to destroy idols (Deuteronomy 7:25–26). Trust grows when no rivals dilute devotion (2 Corinthians 6:14–18).

- Wait for His timing and method. “The LORD your God will drive out those nations little by little” (Deuteronomy 7:22; Isaiah 55:8–9). Patience keeps faith from turning into self-reliance.

- Speak His promises aloud. “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so” (Psalm 107:2; 2 Corinthians 1:20). Verbal praise reinforces inward trust.

- Stand clothed in spiritual armor. “Take up the full armor of God” (Ephesians 6:13). Victory is received, not achieved, when we resist in His strength.

- Step forward when He says go. Israel still had to march (Numbers 14:9; James 2:17). Active faith proves you believe God has already secured the outcome.

Living Today in Confidence

The God who threw enemy armies into confusion for Israel still silences threats against His people. Remember His record, obey His voice, and rest in His pledge: He will deliver—completely, decisively, and on time.
