Rely on God's strength for steadfast faith?
How can you rely on God's strength to remain steadfast in your faith?

Built on an Unshakable Promise

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before His glorious presence with great joy” (Jude 1:24)

• “Able” means fully powerful, never lacking.

• “Keep you from stumbling” speaks of God’s active guarding of your steps (cf. Psalm 121:3).

• “Present you blameless” points to the finished work He guarantees (Philippians 1:6).

Seeing What God’s Strength Looks Like

John 10:28–29—no one can snatch you from the Father’s hand.

2 Timothy 1:12—“He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him.”

Hebrews 7:25—Jesus “always lives to intercede” for you.

God’s strength is personal, constant, and victorious.

How to Actively Lean on His Strength

1. Stay rooted in Scripture

– “Faith comes by hearing” (Romans 10:17).

– God’s Word reminds you whose power sustains you (Isaiah 40:29).

2. Pray dependently

– Bring weaknesses to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).

– Expect His enabling, not mere self-effort (Ephesians 3:20).

3. Put on the armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18)

– Begin with “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.”

4. Walk with the Spirit

– Yield to His leading; He produces steadfastness (Galatians 5:16, 22-23).

5. Stay connected to believers

– Mutual encouragement helps you stand firm (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Practicing Steadfastness in Real Life

• When tempted—recall 1 Corinthians 10:13: He “will also provide an escape.”

• When weary—wait on the LORD; He renews strength (Isaiah 40:31).

• When doubting—speak truth aloud: “The LORD is my strength and my song” (Psalm 118:14).

• When persecuted—remember 1 Peter 5:10: after suffering, God Himself “will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

Encouragement from Biblical Examples

• Joseph—God’s presence kept him through betrayal (Genesis 39:2-3).

• Daniel—God shut lions’ mouths because Daniel trusted in Him (Daniel 6:23).

• Paul—“The Lord stood by me and strengthened me” (2 Timothy 4:17).

Assurance that Fuels Perseverance

• God’s keeping power is greater than every circumstance (Romans 8:38-39).

• The same power that raised Jesus keeps you secure (Ephesians 1:19-20).

• Your steadfastness, empowered by Him, brings Him “great joy” (Jude 1:24), and one day you will stand before Him blameless, proof of His unwavering strength.

How does Jude 1:24 connect with Philippians 1:6 about God's sustaining power?
