Ways to praise His work daily?
How can we "extol His work" in our daily lives today?

The Call to Lift High His Work

“Remember to extol His work, which men have praised in song.” Job 36:24

Job’s friend Elihu reminds every generation that exalting God’s deeds is a continual, deliberate act. Extolling means lifting up, magnifying, celebrating aloud and in action. Below are practical, everyday ways to live that command.

Keep His Works Fresh in Mind

• Begin the day by recalling specific acts of God recorded in Scripture: creation (Genesis 1), the exodus (Exodus 14), the cross and resurrection (Matthew 27–28).

• Memorize verses that recount His mighty deeds, such as Psalm 103:2: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds.”

• Journal daily mercies you see, building a personal record that fuels thanksgiving.

Speak Praise Throughout Ordinary Moments

• Turn casual conversation toward God’s goodness. “Let us boast in the LORD” (Psalm 34:2).

• Replace complaining with verbal gratitude for His provision: food on the table, health, fellowship.

• Sing or hum hymns and worship songs during chores or commutes, echoing Psalm 105:2: “Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders.”

Worship Through Obedient Living

• Conduct work and study “in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:17). Excellence offered to Christ becomes praise.

• Choose holiness over compromise, showing that His power truly delivers from sin (1 Peter 1:15–16).

• Practice generosity that reflects His lavish grace (2 Corinthians 9:13). Every gift points observers to the Giver.

Celebrate in Community

• Gather faithfully with the local church, adding your voice to corporate songs that exalt His works (Ephesians 5:19).

• Share testimonies in small groups, detailing answered prayers and daily providence. Psalm 40:10 models this: “I proclaim Your faithfulness and salvation.”

• Join outreach that proclaims the gospel, fulfilling 1 Peter 2:9: “that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness.”

Honor Him in Quiet Moments

• Meditate on His attributes during a walk or while observing nature, letting creation’s beauty stir praise (Psalm 19:1).

• Turn worries into declarations of trust, casting cares on Him and acknowledging His sustaining power (1 Peter 5:7).

• End each day recounting blessings aloud, mirroring Psalm 92:2: “to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night.”

Let His Works Shape Future Hope

• Face trials by recalling past deliverances, proclaiming with confidence that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

• Speak often of the promised return of Christ and the new creation (Revelation 21:1–5), anticipating the final, eternal song of praise.

• Encourage others with these truths, strengthening faith and multiplying honor to His name.

Continual remembrance, spoken praise, obedient action, communal celebration, private devotion, and hope-filled testimony together form a life that extols His work every single day.
