God’s Faithful Love in Psalm 37:28

“For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake His saints. They are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.”

Psalms Echoing the Same Promise

Psalm 34:6–7 — “This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him; He saved him from all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.”

Psalm 34:17–19 — “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears; He delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all.”

Psalm 91:1–4 — “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly plague. He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart.”

Psalm 91:9–11 — “Because you have made the LORD your dwelling—my refuge, the Most High—no evil will befall you, no plague will approach your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

Psalm 121:3–8 — “He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. Behold, the Protector of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is the shade on your right hand. The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul. The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.”

New Testament Voices

1 Corinthians 10:13 — “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.”

Hebrews 13:5–6 — “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we say with confidence: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’”

Putting It All Together

The consistent witness of Scripture—Law, Prophets, Writings, Gospels, and Epistles—declares that the Lord personally guards, shelters, and preserves those who trust Him. From the “strong tower” of Proverbs to the “shadow of the Almighty” in the Psalms, from Isaiah’s promise of divine presence to Jesus’ assurance that no one can snatch His sheep from His hand, the Bible repeatedly underscores God’s unwavering, literal protection of the faithful.
