You Showed Favor to Your Land

לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ׀ (For the one directing). לִבְנֵי־ (Of the sons) קֹ֬רַח (of Korah) מִזְמֽוֹר׃ (a Psalm).

1רָצִ֣יתָ (You have shown favor), יְהוָ֣ה (O YHWH), אַרְצֶ֑ךָ (to Your land);

שַׁ֝֗בְתָּ (You have turned back) שְׁבוּת (the captivity) יַעֲקֹֽב׃ (of Jacob).

2  נָ֭שָׂאתָ (You have borne away) עֲוֺ֣ן (the iniquity) עַמֶּ֑ךָ (of Your people);

כִּסִּ֖יתָ (You have covered) כָל־ (all) חַטָּאתָ֣ם (their sin).

סֶֽלָה׃ (Selah)

3  אָסַ֥פְתָּ (You have gathered up) כָל־ (all) עֶבְרָתֶ֑ךָ (Your fury);

הֱ֝שִׁיב֗וֹתָ (You have turned) מֵחֲר֥וֹן (from the burning) אַפֶּֽךָ׃ (of Your anger).

4  שׁ֭וּבֵנוּ (Restore us), אֱלֹהֵ֣י (O God) יִשְׁעֵ֑נוּ (of our salvation),

וְהָפֵ֖ר (and cause to cease) כַּֽעַסְךָ֣ (Your anger) עִמָּֽנוּ׃ (toward us).

5  הַלְעוֹלָ֥ם (Forever) תֶּֽאֱנַף־ (will You be angry) בָּ֑נוּ (with us)?

תִּמְשֹׁ֥ךְ (Will You draw out) אַ֝פְּךָ֗ (Your anger) לְדֹ֣ר (to generation) וָדֹֽר׃ (and generation)?

6  הֲֽלֹא־ (Will not) אַ֭תָּה (You) תָּשׁ֣וּב (turn back) תְּחַיֵּ֑נוּ (and revive us),

וְ֝עַמְּךָ֗ (that Your people) יִשְׂמְחוּ־ (may rejoice) בָֽךְ׃ (in You)?

7  הַרְאֵ֣נוּ (Show us), יְהוָ֣ה (O YHWH), חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ (Your loving devotion),

וְ֝יֶשְׁעֲךָ֗ (and Your salvation) תִּתֶּן־ (give) לָֽנוּ׃ (to us).

8  אֶשְׁמְעָ֗ה (Let me hear) מַה־ (what) יְדַבֵּר֮ (will speak) הָאֵ֪ל׀ (my God) יְה֫וָ֥ה (YHWH),

כִּ֤י׀ (for) יְדַבֵּ֬ר (He will speak) שָׁל֗וֹם (peace) אֶל־ (to) עַמּ֥וֹ (His people) וְאֶל־ (and to) חֲסִידָ֑יו (His holy ones);

וְֽאַל־ (not) יָשׁ֥וּבוּ (He will let them return) לְכִסְלָֽה׃ (to folly).

9  אַ֤ךְ׀ (Surely) קָר֣וֹב (near) לִירֵאָ֣יו (to those fearing Him) יִשְׁע֑וֹ (is His salvation),

לִשְׁכֹּ֖ן (may dwell) כָּב֣וֹד (that glory) בְּאַרְצֵֽנוּ׃ (in our land).

10  חֶֽסֶד־ (Loving devotion) וֶאֱמֶ֥ת (and faithfulness) נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ (have met together);

צֶ֖דֶק (righteousness) וְשָׁל֣וֹם (and peace) נָשָֽׁקוּ׃ (have kissed).

11  אֱ֭מֶת (Faithfulness) מֵאֶ֣רֶץ (from the earth) תִּצְמָ֑ח (springs forth),

וְ֝צֶ֗דֶק (and righteousness) מִשָּׁמַ֥יִם (from the heavens) נִשְׁקָֽף׃ (looks down).

12  גַּם־ (Indeed), יְ֭הוָה (YHWH) יִתֵּ֣ן (will give) הַטּ֑וֹב (that which is good),

וְ֝אַרְצֵ֗נוּ (and our land) תִּתֵּ֥ן (will give forth) יְבוּלָֽהּ׃ (its produce).

13  צֶ֭דֶק (Righteousness) לְפָנָ֣יו (before Him) יְהַלֵּ֑ךְ (will go),

וְיָשֵׂ֖ם (to prepare) לְדֶ֣רֶךְ (the way) פְּעָמָֽיו׃ (of His steps).
