1 John 5
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
1Everyone who believes that Yeshua is The Messiah is born from God, and everyone who loves him who begot, loves also the one who is begotten of him. 2And by this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and we do his commandments. 3For this is the love of God: to keep his commandments; and his commandments are not burdensome. 4Because everyone who is born from God conquers the universe; and this is the victory that conquers the universe - our faith.

5Who is he who conquers the universe but he who believes that Yeshua is The Son of God? 6This is he who came by water and blood, Yeshua The Messiah; it was not by water only, but by water and blood. 7And The Spirit testifies because The Spirit is the truth. 8And there are three testifying: The Spirit and the water and the blood, and the three of them are in one.

9If we receive the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of God? And this is the testimony of God which he testifies about his Son: 10Everyone who believes in The Son of God has this witness in his soul. Everyone who does not believe God makes him a liar because he does not believe the testimony that God testifies concerning his Son. 11And this is the testimony: God has given us Eternal Life, and that life is in his Son. 12Everyone who lays hold of The Son lays hold also of The Life, and everyone who does not lay hold of The Son of God does not have The Life in him.

13These things I have written to you that you will know that you have Eternal Life, you who believe in the name of The Son of God. 14And this is the confidence which we have toward him: Everything that we ask him according to his will, he hears for us. 15And if we are convinced that he hears us concerning whatever we ask from him, we trust that even now we receive the things that we desire which we ask from him.

16If a man sees his brother who sins a sin that is not worthy of death, let him ask, and Life will be given to him for those who are not sinning unto death; for there is mortal sin; I do not say that a man should pray for this. 17For every evil is sin, and there is sin that is not mortal.

18And we know that no one who is born from God commits sin, for he who is born from God keeps his soul and The Evil One does not touch it. 19We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in The Evil One. 20And we know that The Son of God has come and he has given us a mind to know The True One and to be in The True One- in his Son, Yeshua The Messiah. This One is The True God and The Life Eternal.

21My children, keep yourselves from the worship of idols.
