| 1Be not silent, O God of my praise! | 1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise; |
| 2For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues. | 2For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. |
| 3They encircle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause. | 3They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. |
| 4In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer. | 4For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. |

| 29May my accusers be clothed with dishonor; may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak! | 29Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle. |
| 30With my mouth I will give great thanks to the LORD; I will praise him in the midst of the throng. | 30I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude. |
