ESV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew International Version
Shout for joy to God, all the earth;1For the director of music. A song. A psalm. Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!2Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.3Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah4All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name."
Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.5Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him,6He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot-- come, let us rejoice in him.
who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah7He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations-- let not the rebellious rise up against him.
Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,8Praise our God, all peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard;
who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.9he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.
For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.10For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs;11You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.
you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.12You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.
I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you,13I will come to your temple with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you--
that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.14vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah15I will sacrifice fat animals to you and an offering of rams; I will offer bulls and goats.
Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.16Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.
I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.17I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.18If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;
But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.19but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.
Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!20Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!
