| 2May Israel rejoice in its Maker, and Zion's descendants in their King! | 2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. |
| 3May they praise his name with dancing, chanting songs to him with tambourines and lyres. | 3Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. |
| 4For the LORD is pleased with his people; he beautifies the afflicted with salvation. | 4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation. |
