Psalm 25
KJV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleEnglish Standard Version
A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.1To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.2O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me.
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.3Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.4Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.5Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.6Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.7Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O LORD!
Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.8Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.9He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.10All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.
For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.11For your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my guilt, for it is great.
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.12Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.13His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land.
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.14The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.
Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.15My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.16Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.17The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses.
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.18Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.19Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me.
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.20Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.21May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
