NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God! Yes, praise is pleasant and appropriate! 1Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.
The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem, and gathers the exiles of Israel. 2The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted, and bandages their wounds. 3He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them. 4He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them.
Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom. 5Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.
The LORD lifts up the oppressed, but knocks the wicked to the ground. 6The LORD supports the afflicted; He brings down the wicked to the ground.
Offer to the LORD a song of thanks! Sing praises to our God to the accompaniment of a harp! 7Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God on the lyre,
He covers the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides. 8Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens when they chirp. 9He gives to the beast its food, And to the young ravens which cry.
He is not enamored with the strength of a horse, nor is he impressed by the warrior's strong legs. 10He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.
The LORD takes delight in his faithful followers, and in those who wait for his loyal love. 11The LORD favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness.
Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! 12Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!
For he makes the bars of your gates strong. He blesses your children within you. 13For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your sons within you.
He brings peace to your territory. He abundantly provides for you the best grain. 14He makes peace in your borders; He satisfies you with the finest of the wheat.
He sends his command through the earth; swiftly his order reaches its destination. 15He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly.
He sends the snow that is white like wool; he spreads the frost that is white like ashes. 16He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes.
He throws his hailstones like crumbs. Who can withstand the cold wind he sends? 17He casts forth His ice as fragments; Who can stand before His cold?
He then orders it all to melt; he breathes on it, and the water flows. 18He sends forth His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow and the waters to flow.
He proclaims his word to Jacob, his statutes and regulations to Israel. 19He declares His words to Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances to Israel.
He has not done so with any other nation; they are not aware of his regulations. Praise the LORD! 20He has not dealt thus with any nation; And as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Praise the LORD!
