NET Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew Living Translation
Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God! Yes, praise is pleasant and appropriate! 1Praise the LORD! How good to sing praises to our God! How delightful and how fitting!
The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem, and gathers the exiles of Israel. 2The LORD is rebuilding Jerusalem and bringing the exiles back to Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted, and bandages their wounds. 3He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them. 4He counts the stars and calls them all by name.
Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom. 5How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!
The LORD lifts up the oppressed, but knocks the wicked to the ground. 6The LORD supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.
Offer to the LORD a song of thanks! Sing praises to our God to the accompaniment of a harp! 7Sing out your thanks to the LORD; sing praises to our God with a harp.
He covers the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides. 8He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.
He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens when they chirp. 9He gives food to the wild animals and feeds the young ravens when they cry.
He is not enamored with the strength of a horse, nor is he impressed by the warrior's strong legs. 10He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might.
The LORD takes delight in his faithful followers, and in those who wait for his loyal love. 11No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.
Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! 12Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!
For he makes the bars of your gates strong. He blesses your children within you. 13For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls.
He brings peace to your territory. He abundantly provides for you the best grain. 14He sends peace across your nation and satisfies your hunger with the finest wheat.
He sends his command through the earth; swiftly his order reaches its destination. 15He sends his orders to the world— how swiftly his word flies!
He sends the snow that is white like wool; he spreads the frost that is white like ashes. 16He sends the snow like white wool; he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes.
He throws his hailstones like crumbs. Who can withstand the cold wind he sends? 17He hurls the hail like stones. Who can stand against his freezing cold?
He then orders it all to melt; he breathes on it, and the water flows. 18Then, at his command, it all melts. He sends his winds, and the ice thaws.
He proclaims his word to Jacob, his statutes and regulations to Israel. 19He has revealed his words to Jacob, his decrees and regulations to Israel.
He has not done so with any other nation; they are not aware of his regulations. Praise the LORD! 20He has not done this for any other nation; they do not know his regulations. Praise the LORD!
