I groan in prayer, but help seems far away. |
| 2My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest. | 2My God, I cry out during the day, but you do not answer, and during the night my prayers do not let up. |
| 3Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises. | 3You are holy; you sit as king receiving the praises of Israel. |

| 27All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, | 27Let all the people of the earth acknowledge the LORD and turn to him! Let all the nations worship you! |
| 28for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations. | 28For the LORD is king and rules over the nations. |
| 29All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him-- those who cannot keep themselves alive. | 29All of the thriving people of the earth will join the celebration and worship; all those who are descending into the grave will bow before him, including those who cannot preserve their lives. |
| 30Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. | 30A whole generation will serve him; they will tell the next generation about the sovereign Lord. |
| 31They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it! | 31They will come and tell about his saving deeds; they will tell a future generation what he has accomplished. |
