1	וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃	Then the LORD said to Moses,	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2	צַ֞ו אֶת־ בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם כִּֽי־ אַתֶּ֥ם בָּאִ֖ים אֶל־ הָאָ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן זֹ֣את הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּפֹּ֤ל לָכֶם֙ בְּֽנַחֲלָ֔ה אֶ֥רֶץ כְּנַ֖עַן לִגְבֻלֹתֶֽיהָ׃	“Command the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, it will be allotted to you as an inheritance with these boundaries:	Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this [is] the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, [even] the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
3	וְהָיָ֨ה לָכֶ֧ם פְּאַת־ נֶ֛גֶב מִמִּדְבַּר־ צִ֖ן עַל־ יְדֵ֣י אֱד֑וֹם וְהָיָ֤ה לָכֶם֙ גְּב֣וּל נֶ֔גֶב מִקְצֵ֥ה יָם־ הַמֶּ֖לַח קֵֽדְמָה׃	Your southern border will extend from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom. On the east, your southern border will run from the end of the Salt Sea,	Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
4	וְנָסַ֣ב לָכֶם֩ הַגְּב֨וּל מִנֶּ֜גֶב לְמַעֲלֵ֤ה עַקְרַבִּים֙ וְעָ֣בַר צִ֔נָה [והיה] (וְהָיוּ֙) תּֽוֹצְאֹתָ֔יו מִנֶּ֖גֶב לְקָדֵ֣שׁ בַּרְנֵ֑עַ וְיָצָ֥א חֲצַר־ אַדָּ֖ר וְעָבַ֥ר עַצְמֹֽנָה׃	cross south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and go south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it will go on to Hazar-addar and proceed to Azmon,	And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:
5	וְנָסַ֧ב הַגְּב֛וּל מֵעַצְמ֖וֹן נַ֣חְלָה מִצְרָ֑יִם וְהָי֥וּ תוֹצְאֹתָ֖יו הַיָּֽמָּה׃	where it will turn from Azmon, join the Brook of Egypt, and end at the Sea.	And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
6	וּגְב֣וּל יָ֔ם וְהָיָ֥ה לָכֶ֛ם הַיָּ֥ם הַגָּד֖וֹל וּגְב֑וּל זֶֽה־ יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם גְּב֥וּל יָֽם׃	Your western border will be the coastline of the Great Sea; this will be your boundary on the west.	And [as for] the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
7	וְזֶֽה־ יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם גְּב֣וּל צָפ֑וֹן מִן־ הַיָּם֙ הַגָּדֹ֔ל תְּתָא֥וּ לָכֶ֖ם הֹ֥ר הָהָֽר׃	Your northern border will run from the Great Sea directly to Mount Hor,	And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:
8	מֵהֹ֣ר הָהָ֔ר תְּתָא֖וּ לְבֹ֣א חֲמָ֑ת וְהָי֛וּ תּוֹצְאֹ֥ת הַגְּבֻ֖ל צְדָֽדָה׃	and from Mount Hor to Lebo-hamath, then extend to Zedad,	From mount Hor ye shall point out [your border] unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
9	וְיָצָ֤א הַגְּבֻל֙ זִפְרֹ֔נָה וְהָי֥וּ תוֹצְאֹתָ֖יו חֲצַ֣ר עֵינָ֑ן זֶֽה־ יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם גְּב֥וּל צָפֽוֹן׃	continue to Ziphron, and end at Hazar-enan. This will be your boundary on the north.	And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
10	וְהִתְאַוִּיתֶ֥ם לָכֶ֖ם לִגְב֣וּל קֵ֑דְמָה מֵחֲצַ֥ר עֵינָ֖ן שְׁפָֽמָה׃	And your eastern border will run straight from Hazar-enan to Shepham,	And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:
11	וְיָרַ֨ד הַגְּבֻ֧ל מִשְּׁפָ֛ם הָרִבְלָ֖ה מִקֶּ֣דֶם לָעָ֑יִן וְיָרַ֣ד הַגְּב֔וּל וּמָחָ֛ה עַל־ כֶּ֥תֶף יָם־ כִּנֶּ֖רֶת קֵֽדְמָה׃	then go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Chinnereth.	And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
12	וְיָרַ֤ד הַגְּבוּל֙ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔נָה וְהָי֥וּ תוֹצְאֹתָ֖יו יָ֣ם הַמֶּ֑לַח זֹאת֩ תִּהְיֶ֨ה לָכֶ֥ם הָאָ֛רֶץ לִגְבֻלֹתֶ֖יהָ סָבִֽיב׃	Then the border will go down along the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. This will be your land, defined by its borders on all sides.”	And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.
13	וַיְצַ֣ו מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶת־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר זֹ֣את הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּתְנַחֲל֤וּ אֹתָהּ֙ בְּגוֹרָ֔ל אֲשֶׁר֙ צִוָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה לָתֵ֛ת לְתִשְׁעַ֥ת הַמַּטּ֖וֹת וַחֲצִ֥י הַמַּטֶּֽה׃	So Moses commanded the Israelites, “Apportion this land by lot as an inheritance. The LORD has commanded that it be given to the nine and a half tribes.	And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This [is] the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
14	כִּ֣י לָקְח֞וּ מַטֵּ֨ה בְנֵ֤י הָראוּבֵנִי֙ לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֔ם וּמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ הַגָּדִ֖י לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם וַחֲצִי֙ מַטֵּ֣ה מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה לָקְח֖וּ נַחֲלָתָֽם׃	For the tribes of the Reubenites and Gadites, along with the half-tribe of Manasseh, have already received their inheritance.	For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received [their inheritance]; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:
15	שְׁנֵ֥י הַמַּטּ֖וֹת וַחֲצִ֣י הַמַּטֶּ֑ה לָקְח֣וּ נַחֲלָתָ֗ם מֵעֵ֛בֶר לְיַרְדֵּ֥ן יְרֵח֖וֹ קֵ֥דְמָה מִזְרָֽחָה׃ פ	These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance across the Jordan from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”	The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan [near] Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
16	וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃	Then the LORD said to Moses,	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
17	אֵ֚לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־ יִנְחֲל֥וּ לָכֶ֖ם אֶת־ הָאָ֑רֶץ אֶלְעָזָר֙ הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ בִּן־ נֽוּן׃	“These are the names of the men who are to assign the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.	These [are] the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
18	וְנָשִׂ֥יא אֶחָ֛ד נָשִׂ֥יא אֶחָ֖ד מִמַּטֶּ֑ה תִּקְח֖וּ לִנְחֹ֥ל אֶת־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃	Appoint one leader from each tribe to distribute the land.	And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.
19	וְאֵ֖לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת הָאֲנָשִׁ֑ים לְמַטֵּ֣ה יְהוּדָ֔ה כָּלֵ֖ב בֶּן־ יְפֻנֶּֽה׃	These are their names: Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;	And the names of the men [are] these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
20	וּלְמַטֵּה֙ בְּנֵ֣י שִׁמְע֔וֹן שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל בֶּן־ עַמִּיהֽוּד׃	Shemuel son of Ammihud from the tribe of Simeon;	And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
21	לְמַטֵּ֣ה בִנְיָמִ֔ן אֱלִידָ֖ד בֶּן־ כִּסְלֽוֹן׃	Elidad son of Chislon from the tribe of Benjamin;	Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
22	וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵי־ דָ֖ן נָשִׂ֑יא בֻּקִּ֖י בֶּן־ יָגְלִֽי׃	Bukki son of Jogli, a leader from the tribe of Dan;	And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.
23	לִבְנֵ֣י יוֹסֵ֔ף לְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה נָשִׂ֑יא חַנִּיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־ אֵפֹֽד׃	Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph;	The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
24	וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ אֶפְרַ֖יִם נָשִׂ֑יא קְמוּאֵ֖ל בֶּן־ שִׁפְטָֽן׃	Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim;	And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
25	וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ זְבוּלֻ֖ן נָשִׂ֑יא אֱלִיצָפָ֖ן בֶּן־ פַּרְנָֽךְ׃	Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun;	And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
26	וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ יִשָׂשכָ֖ר נָשִׂ֑יא פַּלְטִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־ עַזָּֽן׃	Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar;	And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
27	וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵי־ אָשֵׁ֖ר נָשִׂ֑יא אֲחִיה֖וּד בֶּן־ שְׁלֹמִֽי׃	Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher;	And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
28	וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־ נַפְתָּלִ֖י נָשִׂ֑יא פְּדַהְאֵ֖ל בֶּן־ עַמִּיהֽוּד׃	and Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”	And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
29	אֵ֕לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֖ר צִוָּ֣ה יְהוָ֑ה לְנַחֵ֥ל אֶת־ בְּנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּאֶ֥רֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃ פ	These are the ones whom the LORD commanded to apportion the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.	These [are they] whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
