How can we honor His majestic power?
What actions can we take to ensure we honor "the majesty of His power"?

Recognize the Warning and the Wonder

2 Thessalonians 1:9 declares, “They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His might.”

• The same “glory of His might” that judges unbelief also draws worship from believers (Psalm 29:2; Revelation 5:12).

• Honoring that majesty means living so close to Him now that separation from Him is unthinkable.

Set Our Hearts on His Sovereign Authority

• Daily acknowledge that “The LORD has established His throne in the heavens” (Psalm 103:19).

• Begin each morning by verbally confessing His rule over your life—this guides every decision that follows.

• Memorize verses that exalt His power (Isaiah 40:28–31; Jeremiah 32:17).

Cultivate Daily Awe Through Worship

• Schedule unhurried time to read Scripture aloud; hearing His words reinforces reverence (Nehemiah 8:8).

• Sing hymns and psalms that spotlight His greatness (Psalm 96:1–4).

• Gather faithfully with the church, where “His glory is proclaimed” (Psalm 34:3).

Live in Obedient Holiness

• Jesus linked love and obedience: “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15).

• Examine habits under the light of His Word; quickly repent when conviction comes (1 John 1:9).

• Pursue purity in thought, speech, and conduct (1 Peter 1:14–16).

Proclaim His Gospel Boldly

• Paul reminded Timothy, “Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord” (2 Timothy 1:8).

• Share the good news with clarity and compassion, knowing His power still saves (Romans 1:16).

• Support missions and evangelistic efforts—honoring His majesty means extending His kingdom’s reach.

Rely on His Strength, Not Ours

• “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

• Start tasks with prayerful dependence, asking Him to work through your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

• Celebrate answered prayer publicly, giving Him full credit (Psalm 115:1).

Serve in Humble Stewardship

• Recognize every gift—time, talents, resources—as entrusted by the Almighty (1 Peter 4:10–11).

• Manage finances with integrity, giving generously to God’s work (Proverbs 3:9).

• Volunteer where His power can bless others through you, reflecting His servant heart (Mark 10:45).

Anticipate His Return with Hopeful Vigilance

• Keep watch, “looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing” (Titus 2:13).

• Let future glory shape present priorities; invest in eternal, not merely temporal, pursuits (Matthew 6:19–21).

• Encourage one another with reminders of His coming reign (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18).

Keep the Majesty Central

• End each day recounting specific ways you saw His power at work.

• Offer thanks for both victories and trials, knowing each showcases His sovereignty (James 1:2–4).

• Resolve that everything—thoughts, words, actions—will point back to “the glory of His might.”
