Reuben,

Reuben was Jacob’s firstborn son by Leah, yet he forfeited the rights of the firstborn through his sin with Bilhah, his father’s concubine. The birthright was given to Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, while Judah received prominence and royal leadership. Reuben’s descendants settled east of the Jordan.

Simeon,

Levi,

Levi’s descendants were set apart for service to the Lord after their faithfulness during Israel’s wilderness rebellion. The Levites received no tribal territory but were given cities throughout the land, serving in the tabernacle and later in the temple. Moses and Aaron came from Levi’s line.

Judah,

Zebulun,
