1 Chronicles 3:10
Solomon's son was Rehoboam: Abijah was his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,
Solomon’s son was Rehoboam:

Rehoboam inherited the united kingdom, but his refusal to heed wise counsel and his oppressive response to Israel’s grievances brought about the northern tribes’ rebellion. The division of the kingdom fulfilled the Lord’s judgment announced because of Solomon’s idolatry, while preserving Judah for David’s sake and for Jerusalem, where God had chosen to place His name.

Abijah was his son,

Abijah reigned only three years in Judah. In conflict with Jeroboam, he publicly appealed to the Lord’s covenant with David and condemned Israel’s abandonment of the priesthood and worship established by God. Yet his own reign did not fully depart from the sins that had weakened Judah.

Asa his son,

Asa brought needed reform to Judah, removing idols, renewing worship, and calling the nation to seek the Lord. His long reign demonstrated the blessing of faithful dependence on God, though his later reliance on an alliance with Syria warned that spiritual renewal must be sustained by continued trust in the Lord.

Chronicles
The comparative indifference with which Chronicles is regarded in modern times by all but professional scholars seems to have been shared by the ancient Jewish church. Though written by the same hand as wrote Ezra-Nehemiah, and forming, together with these books, a continuous history of Judah, it is placed after them in the Hebrew Bible, of which it forms the concluding book; and this no doubt points to the fact that it attained canonical distinction later than they. Nor is this unnatural. The book
