Joshua’s Inheritance 49When they had finished distributing the land into its territories, the Israelites (God prevails) gave Joshua (YHWH saves) son of Nun (fish / posterity) an inheritance among them, 50as the LORD {YHWH} had commanded. They gave him the city of Timnath-serah (Timnath-heres)d in the hill country of Ephraim (doubly fruitful), as he requested. He rebuilt the city and settled in it. 51These are the inheritances that Eleazar (God has helped) the priest, Joshua (YHWH saves) son of Nun (fish / posterity), and the heads of the families distributed by lot to the tribes of Israel (he wrestles with God) at Shiloh (place of rest) before the LORD {YHWH} at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
