| 7In addition, he built a hall for the throne, the Hall of Justice, where he was to judge. It was paneled with cedar from floor to ceiling. | 7And he made the Hall of the Throne where he was to pronounce judgment, even the Hall of Judgment. It was finished with cedar from floor to rafters. |
| 8And the palace where Solomon would live, set further back, was of similar construction. He also made a palace like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had married. | 8His own house where he was to dwell, in the other court back of the hall, was of like workmanship. | 9All these buildings were constructed with costly stones, cut to size and trimmed with saws inside and out from the foundation to the eaves, and from the outside to the great courtyard. | 9All these were made of costly stones, cut according to measure, sawed with saws, back and front, even from the foundation to the coping, and from the outside to the great court. |

| 14He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a craftsman in bronze. Huram had great skill, understanding, and knowledge for every kind of bronze work. And he was full of wisdom, understanding, and skill for making any work in bronze. He came to King Solomon and did all his work. |
| 15He cast two pillars of bronze, each eighteen cubits high and twelve cubits in circumference. | 15He cast two pillars of bronze. | 16He also made two capitals of cast bronze to set on top of the pillars, each capital five cubits high. | 16He also made two capitals of cast bronze to set on the tops of the pillars. The height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits. |
| 17For the capitals on top of the pillars he made a network of lattice, with wreaths of chainwork, seven for each capital. | 17There were lattices of checker work with wreaths of chain work for the capitals on the tops of the pillars, a lattice for the one capital and a lattice for the other capital. |
| 18Likewise, he made the pillars with two rows of pomegranates around each grating to cover each capital atop the pillars. | 18Likewise he made pomegranates in two rows around the one latticework to cover the capital that was on the top of the pillar, and he did the same with the other capital. |
| 19And the capitals atop the pillars in the portico were shaped like lilies, four cubits high. | 19Now the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars in the vestibule were of lily-work, four cubits. |
| 20On the capitals of both pillars, just above the rounded projection next to the network, were the two hundred pomegranates in rows encircling each capital. | 20The capitals were on the two pillars and also above the rounded projection which was beside the latticework. There were two hundred pomegranates in two rows all around, and so with the other capital. |
| 21Thus he set up the pillars at the portico of the temple. The pillar to the south he named Jachin, and the pillar to the north he named Boaz. | 21He set up the pillars at the vestibule of the temple. He set up the pillar on the south and called its name Jachin, and he set up the pillar on the north and called its name Boaz. |
| 22And the tops of the pillars were shaped like lilies. So the work of the pillars was completed. | 22And on the tops of the pillars was lily-work. Thus the work of the pillars was finished. |
| 23He also made the Sea of cast metal. It was circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim, five cubits in height, and thirty cubits in circumference. | 23Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. |
| 24Below the rim, ornamental buds encircled it, ten per cubit all the way around the Sea, cast in two rows as a part of the Sea. | 24Under its brim were gourds, for ten cubits, compassing the sea all around. The gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast. |
| 25The Sea stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. | 32There were four wheels under the panels, and the axles of the wheels were attached to the stand; each wheel was a cubit and a half in diameter. | 32And the four wheels were underneath the panels. The axles of the wheels were of one piece with the stands, and the height of a wheel was a cubit and a half. |
| 33The wheels were made like chariot wheels; their axles, rims, spokes, and hubs were all of cast metal. | 33The wheels were made like a chariot wheel; their axles, their rims, their spokes, and their hubs were all cast. |
| 34Each stand had four handles, one for each corner, projecting from the stand. | 34There were four supports at the four corners of each stand. The supports were of one piece with the stands. |
| 35At the top of each stand was a circular band half a cubit high. The supports and panels were cast as a unit with the top of the stand. | 35And on the top of the stand there was a round band half a cubit high; and on the top of the stand its stays and its panels were of one piece with it. |
| 36He engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees on the surfaces of the supports and panels, wherever each had space, with wreaths all around. | 36And on the surfaces of its stays and on its panels, he carved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths all around. |

| 40Additionally, Huram made the pots, shovels, and sprinkling bowls. | 41the two pillars; the two bowl-shaped capitals atop the pillars; the two sets of network covering both bowls of the capitals atop the pillars; | 41the two pillars, the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars, and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars; |
| 42the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of network (two rows of pomegranates for each network covering both the bowl-shaped capitals atop the pillars); | 42and the four hundred pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars; |

All the articles that Huram made for King Solomon in the house of the LORD were made of burnished bronze. | 45Now the pots, the shovels, and the basins, all these vessels in the house of the LORD, which Hiram made for King Solomon, were of burnished bronze. |
| 46The king had them cast in clay molds in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth and Zarethan. | 46In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan. |
| 47Solomon left all these articles unweighed, because there were so many. The weight of the bronze could not be determined. | 47And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them; the weight of the bronze was not ascertained. |
| 48Solomon also made all the furnishings for the house of the LORD: the golden altar; the golden table on which was placed the Bread of the Presence; | 48So Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, the golden table for the bread of the Presence, |
| 49the lampstands of pure gold in front of the inner sanctuary, five on the right side and five on the left; the gold flowers, lamps, and tongs; | 49the lampstands of pure gold, five on the south side and five on the north, before the inner sanctuary; the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold; |
| 50the pure gold basins, wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, ladles, and censers; and the gold hinges for the doors of the inner temple (that is, the Most Holy Place) as well as for the doors of the main hall of the temple. | 50the cups, snuffers, basins, dishes for incense, and fire pans, of pure gold; and the sockets of gold, for the doors of the innermost part of the house, the Most Holy Place, and for the doors of the nave of the temple. |
| 51So all the work that King Solomon had performed for the house of the LORD was completed. Then Solomon brought in the items his father David had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD. | 51Thus all the work that King Solomon did on the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, the silver, the gold, and the vessels, and stored them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD. |
