1The high priest Eliashib and his fellow priests began rebuilding the Sheep Gate. They dedicated it and installed its doors. After building the wall to the Tower of the Hundred and the Tower of Hananel, they dedicated it. | 1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set its doors. They consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Tower of Hananel. |
2The men of Jericho built next to Eliashib, and next to them Zaccur son of Imri built. | 2And next to him the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built. |
3The sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate. They built it with beams and installed its doors, bolts, and bars. | 3The sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate. They laid its beams and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars. |
4Next to them Meremoth son of Uriah, son of Hakkoz, made repairs. Beside them Meshullam son of Berechiah, son of Meshezabel, made repairs.
