NASB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also.1Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do.
On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.2On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.
When I arrive, whomever you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem;3And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me.4If it seems advisable that I should go also, they will accompany me.
But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia, for I am going through Macedonia;5I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia,
and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.6and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go.
For I do not wish to see you now just in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits.7For I do not want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost;8But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.9for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without cause to be afraid, for he is doing the Lord's work, as I also am.10When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am.
So let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.11So let no one despise him. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers.
But concerning Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has opportunity.12Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.
Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.13Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
Let all that you do be done in love.14Let all that you do be done in love.
Now I urge you, brethren (you know the household of Stephanas, that they were the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves for ministry to the saints),15Now I urge you, brothers—you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—
that you also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.16be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.
I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.17I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence,
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.18for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such people.
The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.19The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord.
All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.20All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
The greeting is in my own hand-- Paul.21I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand.
If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed. Maranatha.22If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.24My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
