וַ֠יָּשָׁב
יְהוֹשָׁפָ֨ט
מֶֽלֶךְ־
יְהוּדָ֧ה
אֶל־
בֵּית֛וֹ
בְּשָׁל֖וֹם
לִֽירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
When Jehoshaphat
king
of Judah
had returned
safely
to
his home
in Jerusalem,
And Jehoshaphat
the king
of Judah
returned
to his house
in peace
to Jerusalem.

Jehu
son
of Hanani
the seer
went out
to
confront him
and said
to
King
Jehoshaphat,
“Should you help
the wicked
and love
those who hate
the LORD?
Because of this,
the wrath
of the LORD is
upon you.
And Jehu
the son
of Hanani
the seer
went out
to meet
him, and said
to king
Jehoshaphat,
Shouldest thou help
the ungodly,
and love
them that hate
the LORD?
therefore
[is] wrath
upon thee from before
the LORD.

However,
some
good
is found
in you,
for
you have removed
the Asherah poles
from
the land
and have set
your heart
on seeking
God.”
Nevertheless
there are good
things
found
in thee, in that thou hast taken away
the groves
out of the land,
and hast prepared
thine heart
to seek
God.

Jehoshaphat
lived
in Jerusalem,
and once again
he went out
among the people
from
Beersheba
to
the hill country
of Ephraim
and turned them back
to
the LORD,
the God
of their fathers.
And Jehoshaphat
dwelt
at Jerusalem:
and he went out
again
through the people
from Beersheba
to mount
Ephraim,
and brought them back
unto the LORD
God
of their fathers.

He appointed
judges
in the land,
in each of
the fortified
cities
of Judah.
And he set
judges
in the land
throughout all the fenced
cities
of Judah,
city

Then he said
to
the judges,
“Consider carefully
what
you
do,
for
you are not
judging
for man,
but
for the LORD,
who is with you
when you render judgment.
And said
to the judges,
Take heed
what ye do:
for ye judge
not for man,
but for the LORD,
who [is] with you in the judgment.

And now,
may the fear
of the LORD
be
upon you.
Be careful
what you do,
for
with
the LORD
our God
there is no
injustice

Wherefore now let the fear
of the LORD
be upon you; take heed
and do
[it]: for [there is] no iniquity
with the LORD
our God,
nor respect
of persons,
nor taking
of gifts.

Jehoshaphat
appointed
in Jerusalem
some of
the Levites,
priests,

families
to judge

and to settle disputes.
And they lived
in Jerusalem.
Moreover in Jerusalem
did Jehoshaphat
set
of the Levites,

of the fathers
of Israel,
for the judgment
of the LORD,
and for controversies,
when they returned

ye shall even warn
them that they trespass

this

you. Deal
courageously,
and the LORD
shall be with the good.
