Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.	I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.	I tell you that in the same way, there will be <i>more</i> joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.	I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
8	Or what woman who has ten silver coins and loses one of them does not light a lamp, sweep her house, and search carefully until she finds it?	“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it?	Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find <i>it</i>?	“Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds <i>it?</i>	“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?
9	And when she finds it, she calls together her friends and neighbors to say, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost coin. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
13	After a few days, the younger son got everything together and journeyed to a distant country, where he squandered his wealth in wild living.	Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.	And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.	And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey to a distant country, and there he squandered his estate in wild living.	“Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
14	After he had spent all he had, a severe famine swept through that country, and he began to be in need. 15	So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!	But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired laborers have more than enough bread, but I am dying here from hunger!	“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!
18	I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.	I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.	I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,	I will set out and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight;	I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
19	I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.	I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’	And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.	I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me as one of your hired laborers.”’	I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’
20	So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.	And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.	And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.	So he set out and came to his father. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’	And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.	And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’	“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22	But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.	But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.	But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put <i>it</i> on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on <i>his</i> feet:	But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet;	“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! 28	The older son became angry and refused to go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.	But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him,	And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.	But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and <i>began</i> pleading with him.	“The older brother became angry and refused to go in. 29	But he answered his father, ‘Look, all these years I have served you and never disobeyed a commandment of yours. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.	but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.	And he answering said to <i>his</i> father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:	But he answered and said to his father, ‘Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and <i>yet</i> you never gave me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends;	But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
30	But when this son of yours returns from squandering your wealth with prostitutes, you kill the fattened calf for him!	But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’	But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.	but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you slaughtered the fattened calf for him.’	But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31	‘Son, you are always with me, the father said, ‘and all that is mine is yours.	And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.	And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.	And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.	“’My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.
32	But it was fitting to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.	It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”	It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.	But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and <i>has begun</i> to live, and <i>was</i> lost and has been found.’”	But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
