Yahweh Reigns!
(Psalm 93:1–5)

יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH) מָ֭לָךְ (reigns);

יִרְגְּז֣וּ (let tremble) עַמִּ֑ים (the peoples)!

יֹשֵׁ֥ב (He dwells) כְּ֝רוּבִ֗ים (above the cherubim);

תָּנ֥וּט (let be shaken) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

2  יְ֭הוָה (YHWH is) בְּצִיּ֣וֹן (in Zion) גָּד֑וֹל (great),

וְרָ֥ם (and high) ה֝֗וּא (He is) עַל־ (over) כָּל־ (all) הָֽעַמִּֽים׃ (the peoples).

3  יוֹד֣וּ (Let them praise) שִׁ֭מְךָ (Your name) גָּד֥וֹל (great) וְנוֹרָ֗א (and awesome)—

קָד֥וֹשׁ (holy) הֽוּא׃ (is He)!

4  וְעֹ֥ז (The mighty) מֶלֶךְ֮ (King) מִשְׁפָּ֪ט (justice) אָ֫הֵ֥ב (loves);

אַ֭תָּה (You) כּוֹנַ֣נְתָּ (have established) מֵישָׁרִ֑ים (uprightness);

מִשְׁפָּ֥ט (justice) וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה (and righteousness)

בְּיַעֲקֹ֤ב׀ (in Jacob) אַתָּ֬ה (You) עָשִֽׂיתָ׃ (have done).

5  רֽוֹמְמ֡וּ (Exalt) יְה֘וָ֤ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ (our God)

וְֽ֭הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ (and bow down) לַהֲדֹ֥ם (at the stool) רַגְלָ֗יו (of His feet);

קָד֥וֹשׁ (holy) הֽוּא׃ (is He).

6  מֹ֘שֶׁ֤ה (Moses) וְאַהֲרֹ֨ן׀ (and Aaron) בְּֽכֹהֲנָ֗יו (were among His priests),

וּ֭שְׁמוּאֵל (and Samuel) בְּקֹרְאֵ֣י (among those calling on) שְׁמ֑וֹ (His name)—

קֹרִ֥אים (they called) אֶל־ (to) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (YHWH) וְה֣וּא (and He) יַעֲנֵֽם׃ (answered them).

7  בְּעַמּ֣וּד (Within the pillar) עָ֭נָן (of cloud) יְדַבֵּ֣ר (He spoke) אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם (to them);

שָׁמְר֥וּ (they kept) עֵ֝דֹתָ֗יו (His testimonies) וְחֹ֣ק (and the statute) נָֽתַן־ (He gave) לָֽמוֹ׃ (to them).

8  יְהוָ֣ה (O YHWH) אֱלֹהֵינוּ֮ (our God), אַתָּ֪ה (You) עֲנִ֫יתָ֥ם (answered them).

אֵ֣ל (A God) נֹ֭שֵׂא (forgiving) הָיִ֣יתָ (You became) לָהֶ֑ם (for them),

וְ֝נֹקֵ֗ם (and one taking vengeance) עַל־ (over) עֲלִילוֹתָֽם׃ (their misdeeds).

9  רֽוֹמְמ֡וּ (Exalt) יְה֘וָ֤ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ (our God),

וְ֭הִֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ (and bow down) לְהַ֣ר (at the mountain) קָדְשׁ֑וֹ (of His holiness),

כִּֽי־ (for) קָ֝ד֗וֹשׁ (holy is) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ (our God).
