Sins Requiring a Guilt Offering
(Leviticus 5:14–19; Leviticus 7:1–10)

1And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 2“If a person sins and commits a trespass against YHWH and has lied to his neighbor concerning a deposit or about a pledge or about a robbery, or if he has extorted his neighbor, 3or if he has found a lost thing and lies concerning it and swears to it falsely—in one of all that the man may do, he sins in them. 4And it shall be, because he has sinned and is guilty, that he shall restore the plunder that he has stolen, or the thing that he has extorted, or the deposit that has been deposited with him, or the lost thing that he found, 5or all about which he has sworn falsely.

And He shall restore its full value and add a fifth to it; to whomever it belongs, he shall give it on the day of his guilt offering. 6And his guilt offering he shall bring to YHWH, an unblemished ram from the flock, with your valuation, as a guilt offering, to the priest. 7And the priest shall make atonement upon him before the face of YHWH, and it shall be forgiven for him regarding one thing from all that he may have done, which he trespasses in it.”

The Burnt Offering
(Leviticus 1:1–17)

8And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 9“Command Aaron and his sons, saying, this is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering is on the hearth upon the altar all the night until the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.

10And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and he shall put his linen undergarments on his body, and take up the ashes that the fire of the burnt offering has consumed on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar. 11And he shall take off his garments and put on other garments and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.

12And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out, and the priest shall burn wood on it morning by morning, and lay in order on it the burnt offering, and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. 13A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.

The Grain Offering
(Leviticus 2:1–16)

14And this is the law of the grain offering: The sons of Aaron shall offer it before the face of YHWH, before the face of the altar. 15And he shall take from it his handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, and some of its oil, and all the frankincense that is on the grain offering, and he shall burn it on the altar for a pleasing aroma as a memorial to YHWH.

16And the remainder of it, Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten with unleavened bread in a holy place. In the court of the Tent of Meeting they shall eat it. 17It shall not be baked with leaven; I have given it as their portion of My fire offerings. It is holy of holies, like the sin offering and the guilt offering. 18All the males among the sons of Aaron may eat it; it is an everlasting statute throughout your⁺ generations concerning the fire offerings to YHWH. Everyone who touches them will be holy.”

19And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 20“This is the offering of Aaron and his sons, which they shall offer to YHWH in the day of his being anointed: A tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a daily grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it at the night. 21It shall be made on a griddle with the oil—you shall bring it in well mixed; you shall offer the baked pieces of the grain offering, a pleasing aroma to YHWH. 22And the priest who is anointed in his place from among his sons shall offer it as an everlasting statute to YHWH; it shall be burned completely. 23And every grain offering for the priest shall be burned completely. It shall not be eaten.”

The Sin Offering
(Leviticus 4:1–35; Leviticus 5:1–13)

24And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 25“Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying: This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before the face of YHWH; it is holy of holies. 26The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. In a holy place it shall be eaten, in the court of the Tent of Meeting. 27All that touches its flesh is holy, and if its blood is spattered on any garment, that on which it is spattered you shall wash in a holy place.

28And the earthen vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken; and if it is boiled in a bronze pot, then it shall be scoured and rinsed in the water. 29Every male among the priests may eat it; it is holy of holies. 30And any sin offering from which the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place shall not be eaten; it shall be burned in the fire.
