Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us, and please not God, and are adversaries to all men;
Matthew 5:12 Be glad and rejoice for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you.

In vain have I struck your children, they have not received correction: your sword hath devoured your prophets, your generation is like a ravaging lion.
