Good News Translation
God blesses the soil which drinks in the rain that often falls on it and which grows plants that are useful to those for whom it is cultivated.

Ground that drinks up the rain falling on it repeatedly, and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.

A field is useful to farmers, if there is enough rain to make good crops grow. In fact, God will bless such a field.
