Are not the angels The phrase "Are not the angels" introduces a rhetorical question that assumes a positive answer. In the Greek, "angels" (ἄγγελοι, angeloi) means "messengers." This term is used throughout Scripture to describe heavenly beings who serve God and carry out His will.
