BSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleEnglish Standard Version
A song. A Psalm of Asaph. O God, be not silent; be not speechless; be not still, O God.1O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God!
See how Your enemies rage, how Your foes have reared their heads.2For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads.
With cunning they scheme against Your people and conspire against those You cherish,3They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against your treasured ones.
saying, “Come, let us erase them as a nation; may the name of Israel be remembered no more.”4They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”
For with one mind they plot together, they form an alliance against You—5For they conspire with one accord; against you they make a covenant—
the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,6the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,
of Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, of Philistia with the people of Tyre.7Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Even Assyria has joined them, lending strength to the sons of Lot. Selah8Asshur also has joined them; they are the strong arm of the children of Lot. Selah
Do to them as You did to Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the River Kishon,9Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
who perished at Endor and became like dung on the ground.10who were destroyed at En-dor, who became dung for the ground.
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,11Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
who said, “Let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God.”12who said, “Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.”
Make them like tumbleweed, O my God, like chaff before the wind.13O my God, make them like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind.
As fire consumes a forest, as a flame sets the mountains ablaze,14As fire consumes the forest, as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,
so pursue them with Your tempest, and terrify them with Your storm.15so may you pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your hurricane!
Cover their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O LORD.16Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O LORD.
May they be ever ashamed and terrified; may they perish in disgrace.17Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; let them perish in disgrace,
May they know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, are Most High over all the earth.18that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.
