1For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved my distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.1לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ בִּנְגִינ֗וֹת מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ בְּקָרְאִ֡י עֲנֵ֤נִי ׀ אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י צִדְקִ֗י בַּ֭צָּר הִרְחַ֣בְתָּ לִּ֑י חָ֝נֵּ֗נִי וּשְׁמַ֥ע תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃
2How long, O men, will my honor be maligned? How long will you love vanity and seek after lies? Selah2בְּנֵ֥י אִ֡ישׁ עַד־ מֶ֬ה כְבוֹדִ֣י לִ֭כְלִמָּה תֶּאֱהָב֣וּן רִ֑יק תְּבַקְשׁ֖וּ כָזָ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃
3Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.3וּדְע֗וּ כִּֽי־ הִפְלָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה חָסִ֣יד ל֑וֹ יְהוָ֥ה יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע בְּקָרְאִ֥י אֵלָֽיו׃
4Be angry, yet do not sin; on your bed, search your heart and be still. Selah4רִגְז֗וּ וְֽאַל־ תֶּ֫חֱטָ֥אוּ אִמְר֣וּ בִ֭לְבַבְכֶם עַֽל־ מִשְׁכַּבְכֶ֗ם וְדֹ֣מּוּ סֶֽלָה׃
5Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD.5זִבְח֥וּ זִבְחֵי־ צֶ֑דֶק וּ֝בִטְח֗וּ אֶל־ יְהוָֽה׃
6Many ask, “Who can show us the good?” Shine the light of Your face upon us, O LORD.6רַבִּ֥ים אֹמְרִים֮ מִֽי־ יַרְאֵ֪נ֫וּ ט֥וֹב נְֽסָה־ עָ֭לֵינוּ א֨וֹר פָּנֶ֬יךָ יְהוָֽה׃
7You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.7נָתַ֣תָּה שִׂמְחָ֣ה בְלִבִּ֑י מֵעֵ֬ת דְּגָנָ֖ם וְתִֽירוֹשָׁ֣ם רָֽבּוּ׃
8I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.8בְּשָׁל֣וֹם יַחְדָּו֮ אֶשְׁכְּבָ֪ה וְאִ֫ישָׁ֥ן כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה לְבָדָ֑ד לָ֝בֶ֗טַח תּוֹשִׁיבֵֽנִי׃
