| 14As they approached the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and some scribes arguing with them. | 14When they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and scribes disputing with them. |

| 18Whenever it brings on a seizure, it throws him to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes stiff. | 43So if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It's better for you to enter life injured than to have two hands and go to hell, to the fire that cannot be put out. | 43And if your hand causes your downfall, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than to have two feet and be thrown into hell-- the unquenchable fire, |

| 47And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out.
