1 But God remembered Noah and all the animals and livestock that were with him in the ark. And God sent a wind over the earth, and the waters began to subside. But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided. The fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained, The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; Also the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained; Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky.
3 The waters receded steadily from the earth, and after 150 days the waters had gone down. and the waters receded from the earth continually. At the end of 150 days the waters had abated, And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated. and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of 150 days the water decreased. 4 On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. Then in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible. And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth <i>month</i>, on the first <i>day</i> of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen. 7 and sent out a raven. It kept flying back and forth until the waters had dried up from the earth. and sent forth a raven. It went to and fro until the waters were dried up from the earth. 8 Then Noah sent out a dove to see if the waters had receded from the surface of the ground. Then he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters had subsided from the face of the ground. Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; Then he sent out a dove, to see if the water was low on the surface of the land; Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.
9 But the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him in the ark, because the waters were still covering the surface of all the earth. So he reached out his hand and brought her back inside the ark. But the dove found no place to set her foot, and she returned to him to the ark, for the waters were still on the face of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her and brought her into the ark with him. But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters <i>were</i> on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. but the dove found no resting place for the sole of its foot, so it returned to him in the ark, for the water was on the surface of all the earth. Then he put out his hand and took it, and brought it into the ark to himself. But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark.
10 Noah waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark. He waited another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark. And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; So he waited another seven days longer; and again he sent out the dove from the ark. He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark.
11 And behold, the dove returned to him in the evening with a freshly plucked olive leaf in her beak. So Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth. And the dove came back to him in the evening, and behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters had subsided from the earth. And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth <i>was</i> an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. And the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, in its beak was a fresh olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was low on the earth. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.
12 And Noah waited seven more days and sent out the dove again, but this time she did not return to him. Then he waited another seven days and sent forth the dove, and she did not return to him anymore. And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more. Then he waited another seven days longer, and sent out the dove; but it did not return to him again. He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him.
13 In Noah’s six hundred and first year, on the first day of the first month, the waters had dried up from the earth. So Noah removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry. In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried from off the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dry. And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first <i>month</i>, the first <i>day</i> of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry. Now it came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first <i>month,</i> on the first of the month, <i>that</i> the water was dried up from the earth. 14 By the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the earth was fully dry. In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth had dried out. And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried. And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry. By the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry.
15 Then God said to Noah, Then God said to Noah, And God spake unto Noah, saying, Then God spoke to Noah, saying, Then God said to Noah,
16 “Come out of the ark, you and your wife, along with your sons and their wives. “Go out from the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you. Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. “Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons’ wives with you. “Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives.
17 Bring out all the living creatures that are with you birds, livestock, and everything that crawls upon the ground— so that they can spread out over the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon it.” Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh—birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth—that they may swarm on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” Bring forth with thee every living thing that <i>is</i> with thee, of all flesh, <i>both</i> of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you, birds and animals and every crawling thing that crawls on the earth, that they may breed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you—the birds, the animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground—so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number on it.”
18 So Noah came out, along with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives. So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him. And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him: So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him. So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives.
19 Every living creature, every creeping thing, and every bird— everything that moves upon the earth— came out of the ark, kind by kind. Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out by families from the ark. Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, <i>and</i> whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. Every animal, every crawling thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out by their families from the ark. All the animals and all the creatures that move along the ground and all the birds—everything that moves on land—came out of the ark, one kind after another.
20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD. And taking from every kind of clean animal and clean bird, he offered burnt offerings on the altar. Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 When the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, He said in His heart, “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from his youth. And never again will I destroy all living creatures as I have done. And when the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, the LORD said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart <i>is</i> evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. The LORD smelled the soothing aroma, and the LORD said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.
22 As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall never cease.” While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.” “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
