8 But the dragon was not strong enough, and no longer was any place found in heaven for him and his angels. but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 11 They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death. But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!” Therefore rejoice, <i>ye</i> heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. For this reason, rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you with great wrath, knowing that he has <i>only</i> a short time.” Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
13 And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man <i>child</i>. And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male <i>Child.</i> When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle to fly from the presence of the serpent to her place in the wilderness, where she was nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the serpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent.
16 But the earth helped the woman and opened its mouth to swallow up the river that had poured from the dragon’s mouth. But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had hurled out of his mouth. But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
