Jesus Christ, the embodiment of righteousness, serves as the ultimate example for believers. 1 Peter 2:21 reminds us, "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His footsteps." By following Christ's example, the saints are led in paths of righteousness, emulating His obedience, love, and holiness. Christ's life and teachings provide a perfect model for righteous living.

The Pursuit of Righteousness

While God leads His people in righteousness, believers are also called to actively pursue it. Matthew 6:33 exhorts, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." This pursuit involves a deliberate effort to align one's life with God's standards, seeking His kingdom and righteousness above all else. The saints are encouraged to strive for righteousness, knowing that it is both a gift from God and a responsibility to be embraced.

The Reward of Righteousness

The paths of righteousness ultimately lead to eternal life and fellowship with God. Romans 6:22 assures believers, "But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life." The reward for walking in righteousness is not only a life that reflects God's glory but also the promise of eternal communion with Him. The saints, led by God in paths of righteousness, are assured of His presence and blessing both now and forever.
