Praise Yahweh from the Heavens
(Psalm 33:1–22)

הַ֥לְלוּ (Hallelu) יָ֨הּ׀ (YAH).

הַֽלְל֣וּ (Praise) אֶת־ (-) יְ֭הוָה (YHWH) מִן־ (from) הַשָּׁמַ֑יִם (the heavens);

הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ (praise Him) בַּמְּרוֹמִֽים׃ (in the heights).

2  הַֽלְל֥וּהוּ (Praise Him) כָל־ (all) מַלְאָכָ֑יו (His angels);

הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ (praise Him) כָּל־ (all) צְבָאוֹ׃ (His hosts).

3  הַֽ֭לְלוּהוּ (Praise Him), שֶׁ֣מֶשׁ (O sun) וְיָרֵ֑חַ (and moon);

הַ֝לְל֗וּהוּ (praise Him), כָּל־ (all) כּ֥וֹכְבֵי (stars) אֽוֹר׃ (of light).

4  הַֽ֭לְלוּהוּ (Praise Him), שְׁמֵ֣י (O heavens) הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם (of heavens),

וְ֝הַמַּ֗יִם (and waters) אֲשֶׁ֤ר׀ (that are) מֵעַ֬ל (above) הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ (the heavens).

5  יְֽ֭הַֽלְלוּ (Let them praise) אֶת־ (-) שֵׁ֣ם (the name) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH),

כִּ֤י (for) ה֭וּא (He alone) צִוָּ֣ה (commanded), וְנִבְרָֽאוּ׃ (and they were created).

6  וַיַּעֲמִידֵ֣ם (And He established them) לָעַ֣ד (for ever) לְעוֹלָ֑ם (to forever);

חָק־ (a decree) נָ֝תַ֗ן (He made) וְלֹ֣א (and not) יַעֲבֽוֹר׃ (shall it pass away).

7  הַֽלְל֣וּ (Praise) אֶת־ (-) יְ֭הוָה (YHWH) מִן־ (from) הָאָ֑רֶץ (the earth),

תַּ֝נִּינִ֗ים (sea creatures) וְכָל־ (and all) תְּהֹמֽוֹת׃ (the depths),

8  אֵ֣שׁ (fire) וּ֭בָרָד (and hail), שֶׁ֣לֶג (snow) וְקִיט֑וֹר (and clouds),

ר֥וּחַ (wind) סְ֝עָרָ֗ה (of storm) עֹשָׂ֥ה (doing) דְבָרֽוֹ׃ (His word),

9  הֶהָרִ֥ים (mountains) וְכָל־ (and all) גְּבָע֑וֹת (hills),

עֵ֥ץ (trees) פְּ֝רִ֗י (of fruit) וְכָל־ (and all) אֲרָזִֽים׃ (cedars);

10  הַֽחַיָּ֥ה (the beast) וְכָל־ (and all) בְּהֵמָ֑ה (cattle),

רֶ֝֗מֶשׂ (the creeping thing) וְצִפּ֥וֹר (and bird) כָּנָֽף׃ (of wing),

11  מַלְכֵי־ (kings) אֶ֭רֶץ (of the earth) וְכָל־ (and all) לְאֻמִּ֑ים (peoples),

שָׂ֝רִ֗ים (princes) וְכָל־ (and all) שֹׁ֥פְטֵי (judges) אָֽרֶץ׃ (of the earth),

12  בַּחוּרִ֥ים (young men) וְגַם־ (and also) בְּתוּל֑וֹת (maidens),

זְ֝קֵנִ֗ים (old) עִם־ (with) נְעָרִֽים׃ (young).

13  יְהַלְל֤וּ׀ (Let them praise) אֶת־ (-) שֵׁ֬ם (the name) יְהוָ֗ה (of YHWH),

כִּֽי־ (for) נִשְׂגָּ֣ב (is exalted) שְׁמ֣וֹ (His name) לְבַדּ֑וֹ (alone);

ה֝וֹד֗וֹ (His splendor) עַל־ (above) אֶ֥רֶץ (the earth) וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃ (and the heavens).

14  וַיָּ֤רֶם (And He has raised up) קֶ֨רֶן׀ (the horn) לְעַמּ֡וֹ (of His people),

תְּהִלָּ֤ה (the praise) לְֽכָל־ (from all) חֲסִידָ֗יו (His saints),

לִבְנֵ֣י (from the sons) יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל (of Israel), עַֽם־ (a people) קְרֹב֗וֹ (near to Him).

הַֽלְלוּ־ (Praise) יָֽהּ׃ (YAH)!
