Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.1Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his gracious love is eternal.
Let Israel say, "His faithful love endures forever."2Let Israel now say, "His gracious love is eternal."
Let the house of Aaron say, "His faithful love endures forever."3Let the house of Aaron now say, "His gracious love is eternal."
Let those who fear the LORD say, "His faithful love endures forever."4Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His gracious love is eternal."
I called to the LORD in distress; the LORD answered me and put me in a spacious place.5I called on the LORD in my distress; the LORD answered me openly.
The LORD is for me; I will not be afraid. What can a mere mortal do to me?6The LORD is with me. I will not be afraid. What can people do to me?
The LORD is my helper, Therefore, I will look in triumph on those who hate me.7With the LORD beside me as my helper, I will triumph over those who hate me.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humanity.8It is better to take shelter in the LORD than to trust in people.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in nobles.9It is better to take shelter in the LORD than to trust in princes.
All the nations surrounded me; in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.10All the nations surrounded me; but in the name of the LORD I will defeat them.
They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me; in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.11They surrounded me, they are around me; but in the name of the LORD I will defeat them.
They surrounded me like bees; they were extinguished like a fire among thorns; in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.12They surrounded me like bees; but they will be extinguished like burning thorns. In the name of the LORD I will defeat them.
They pushed me hard to make me fall, but the LORD helped me.13Indeed, you oppressed me so much that I nearly fell, but the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.14The LORD is my strength and protector, for he has become my deliverer.
There are shouts of joy and victory in the tents of the righteous: "The LORD's right hand performs valiantly!15There's exultation for deliverance in the tents of the righteous: "The right hand of the LORD is victorious!
The LORD's right hand is raised. The LORD's right hand performs valiantly!"16The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD is victorious!"
I will not die, but I will live and proclaim what the LORD has done.17I will not die, but I will live to recount the deeds of the LORD.
The LORD disciplined me severely but did not give me over to death.18The LORD will discipline me severely, but he won't hand me over to die.
Open the gates of righteousness for me; I will enter through them and give thanks to the LORD.19Open for me the righteous gates so I may enter through them to give thanks to the LORD.
This is the LORD's gate; the righteous will enter through it.20This is the LORD's gate— The righteous will enter through it.
I will give thanks to you because you have answered me and have become my salvation.21I will praise you because you have answered me and have become my deliverer.
The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.22The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
This came from the LORD; it is wondrous in our sight.23This is from the LORD— it is awesome in our sight.
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.24This is the day that the LORD has made; let's rejoice and be glad in it.
LORD, save us! LORD, please grant us success!25Please LORD, deliver us! Please LORD, hurry and bring success now!
He who comes in the name of the LORD is blessed. From the house of the LORD we bless you.26Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD! Let us bless you from the LORD's house.
The LORD is God and has given us light. Bind the festival sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.27The LORD is God—he will be our light! Bind the festival sacrifice with ropes to the horn at the altar.
You are my God, and I will give you thanks. You are my God; I will exalt you.28You are my God, and I will praise you; my God, and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.29Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good and his gracious love is eternal.
