| 1Accept anyone who is weak in faith, but don't argue about doubtful issues. | 1Now receive the one who is weak in the faith, and do not have disputes over differing opinions. |
| 2One person believes he may eat anything, but one who is weak eats only vegetables. | 2One person believes in eating everything, but the weak person eats only vegetables. |
| 3One who eats must not look down on one who does not eat, and one who does not eat must not criticize one who does, because God has accepted him. | 3The one who eats everything must not despise the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not judge the one who eats everything, for God has accepted him. |
| 4Who are you to criticize another's household slave? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand. For the Lord is able to make him stand. | 4Who are you to pass judgment on another's servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. |

| 13Therefore, let us no longer criticize one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in your brother's way. | 13Therefore we must not pass judgment on one another, but rather determine never to place an obstacle or a trap before a brother or sister. |

| 15For if your brother is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. | 20Do not tear down God's work because of food. Everything is clean, but it is wrong for a man to cause stumbling by what he eats. | 20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. For although all things are clean, it is wrong to cause anyone to stumble by what you eat. |

| 22Do you have a conviction? Keep it to yourself before God. The man who does not condemn himself by what he approves is blessed. | 22The faith you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself by what he approves. |
