Psalm 65
KJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNew International Version
To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.1For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song. Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.2You who answer prayer, to you all people will come.
Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.3When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions.
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.4Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.
By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:5You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas,
Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:6who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,
Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.7who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.8The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.9You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.
Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.10You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.11You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.
They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.12The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.
The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.13The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.
