New International VersionBerean Study Bible
Of David. In you, LORD my God, I put my trust.1Of David. To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.2in You, my God, I trust. Do not let me be put to shame; do not let my enemies exult over me.
No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.3Surely none who wait for You will be put to shame; but those who are faithless without cause will be disgraced.
Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.4Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.5Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.
Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.6Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and loving devotion, for they are from age to age.
Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good.7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my rebellious acts; remember me according to Your loving devotion, because of Your goodness, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.8Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He shows sinners the way.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.9He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.
All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.10All the LORD’s ways are loving and faithful to those who keep His covenant and His decrees.
For the sake of your name, LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.11For the sake of Your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, for it is great.
Who, then, are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.12Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the path chosen for him.
They will spend their days in prosperity, and their descendants will inherit the land.13His soul will dwell in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.
The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.14The LORD confides in those who fear Him, and reveals His covenant to them.
My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.15My eyes are always on the LORD, for He will free my feet from the mesh.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.16Turn to me and be gracious, for I am lonely and afflicted.
Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.17The troubles of my heart increase; free me from my distress.
Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.18Consider my affliction and trouble, and take away all my sins.
See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me!19Consider my enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with vicious hatred.
Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.20Guard my soul and deliver me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in You.
May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, LORD, is in you.21May integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for You.
Deliver Israel, O God, from all their troubles!22Redeem Israel, O God, from all its distress.
