| 1Of David. In you, LORD my God, I put my trust. | 1O LORD, I give my life to you. |
| 2I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. | 2I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat. |
| 3No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. | 3No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. |
| 4Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. | 4Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. |
| 5Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. | 5Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. |

| 17Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. | 17My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! |

| 19See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me! | 19See how many enemies I have and how viciously they hate me! |
| 20Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. | 20Protect me! Rescue my life from them! Do not let me be disgraced, for in you I take refuge. |
