Psalm 25
New International VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
Of David. In you, LORD my God, I put my trust.1A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.2O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies exult over me.
No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.3Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.
Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.4Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.5Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.6Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, LORD, are good.7Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.8Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.9He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.
All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.10All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.
For the sake of your name, LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.11For Your name's sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Who, then, are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.12Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
They will spend their days in prosperity, and their descendants will inherit the land.13His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land.
The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.14The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.
My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.15My eyes are continually toward the LORD, For He will pluck my feet out of the net.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.16Turn to me and be gracious to me, For I am lonely and afflicted.
Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.17The troubles of my heart are enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses.
Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.18Look upon my affliction and my trouble, And forgive all my sins.
See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me!19Look upon my enemies, for they are many, And they hate me with violent hatred.
Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.20Guard my soul and deliver me; Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.
May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, LORD, is in you.21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.
Deliver Israel, O God, from all their troubles!22Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all his troubles.
