Yahweh Is My Strength

לְדָוִ֡ד (Of David).

1אֵ֘לֶ֤יךָ (To You), יְהוָ֨ה׀ (O YHWH), אֶקְרָ֗א (I call out).

צוּרִי֮ (O my Rock), אַֽל־ (not) תֶּחֱרַ֪שׁ (should you be deaf) מִ֫מֶּ֥נִּי (to me),

פֶּן־ (lest) תֶּֽחֱשֶׁ֥ה (You be silent) מִמֶּ֑נִּי (to me)

וְ֝נִמְשַׁ֗לְתִּי (and I be likened) עִם־ (with) י֥וֹרְדֵי (those descending) בֽוֹר׃ (to the Pit).

2  שְׁמַ֤ע (May You hear) ק֣וֹל (the voice) תַּ֭חֲנוּנַי (of my supplications),

בְּשַׁוְּעִ֣י (in my crying out) אֵלֶ֑יךָ (to You)

בְּנָשְׂאִ֥י (in my lifting up) יָ֝דַ֗י (my hands)

אֶל־ (toward) דְּבִ֥יר (the sanctuary) קָדְשֶֽׁךָ׃ (of Your Holiness).

3  אַל־ (Not) תִּמְשְׁכֵ֣נִי (drag me away) עִם־ (with) רְשָׁעִים֮ (the wicked),

וְעִם־ (and with) פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י (the workers) אָ֥וֶן (of iniquity)

דֹּבְרֵ֣י (those speaking) שָׁ֭לוֹם (peace) עִם־ (with) רֵֽעֵיהֶ֑ם (their neighbors),

וְ֝רָעָ֗ה (and evil) בִּלְבָבָֽם׃ (is in their heart).

4  תֶּן־ (Give) לָהֶ֣ם (to them) כְּפָעֳלָם֮ (according to their doing),

וּכְרֹ֪עַ (and according to the evil) מַֽעַלְלֵ֫יהֶ֥ם (of their deeds);

כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (according to the work) יְ֭דֵיהֶם (of their hands) תֵּ֣ן (give) לָהֶ֑ם (to them);

הָשֵׁ֖ב (return) גְּמוּלָ֣ם (their dealing) לָהֶֽם׃ (to them).

5  כִּ֤י (For) לֹ֤א (not) יָבִ֡ינוּ (they do have regard) אֶל־ (toward) פְּעֻלֹּ֣ת (the works) יְ֭הוָה (of YHWH)

וְאֶל־ (and toward) מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (the deed) יָדָ֑יו (of His hands),

יֶ֝הֶרְסֵ֗ם (He shall overthrow them)

וְלֹ֣א (and not) יִבְנֵֽם׃ (rebuild them).

6  בָּר֥וּךְ (Blessed be) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH),

כִּי־ (for) שָׁ֝מַע (He has heard) ק֣וֹל (the voice) תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ (of my supplications).

7  יְהוָ֤ה׀ (YHWH is) עֻזִּ֥י (my strength) וּמָגִנִּי֮ (and my shield);

בּ֤וֹ (in Him) בָטַ֥ח (trusts) לִבִּ֗י (my heart), וְֽנֶ֫עֱזָ֥רְתִּי (and I am helped);

וַיַּעֲלֹ֥ז (and rejoices) לִבִּ֑י (my heart),

וּֽמִשִּׁירִ֥י (and with my song) אֲהוֹדֶֽנּוּ׃ (I will give thanks to Him).

8  יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH is) עֹֽז־ (the strength) לָ֑מוֹ (for them),

וּמָ֘ע֤וֹז (and a stronghold) יְשׁוּע֖וֹת (of salvation for) מְשִׁיח֣וֹ (His anointed) הֽוּא׃ (He is).

9  הוֹשִׁ֤יעָה׀ (May You save) אֶת־ (-) עַמֶּ֗ךָ (Your people) וּבָרֵ֥ךְ (and bless) אֶת־ (-) נַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ (Your inheritance),

וּֽרְעֵ֥ם (and shepherd them) וְ֝נַשְּׂאֵ֗ם (and carry them), עַד־ (even to) הָעוֹלָֽם׃ (forever).
