1Now Peter and John were going up into the temple at (upon) the ninth hour of prayer. 2And a certain man, being lame from out of his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they placed day by day at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who were going into the temple; 3Who having seen Peter and John being about to enter into the temple, asked to receive alms. 4And Peter with John having looked fixedly unto him, said, Look unto (into) us. 5And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them. 6Peter said, Silver and gold, I have none, however what I have, this I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk! 7And having taken him by the right hand, he raised him up; and instantly his feet and ankles were made solid (made firm, stable, strengthened, latin-consolidatae-consolidated). 8And leaping up, he stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. 9And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10They recognized him, that he was the one sitting for alms at (upon) the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment (latin-stupore-amazement root is astonishment) and bewilderment (latin-exstasi-ecstasy) at (upon) that having happened to him.

11And he held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them upon the porch called Solomon’s, utterly astonished (full of amazement). 12And Peter having seen it answered to the people, Men, Israelites, why do you marvel upon this? Or why do you look fixedly on us as if we have made him to walk by our own power or godliness (piety, reverence)? 13The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers has glorified His servant (paida-usually used of a child), Jesus, whom you actually betrayed (delivered over) and disowned (denied) in the presence (face) of Pilate, when he had adjudged to release Him. 14However you denied the Holy and Righteous One and requested a man, a murderer, to be given freely to you; 15You killed the Originator (author, founder) of life, whom God has raised up from out of the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16And upon faith in His name, this man whom you behold (gaze) and know has been made firm (solid, stable, strengthened); His name, and the faith which is through Him, has given to him this wholeness (perfect soundness, completeness, latin-integram sanitatem- integral health) in the presence of you all.

17And now, brothers, I know that in ignorance (unknowing) you acted, just as also your rulers; 18And God has thus fulfilled what He foretold through the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ should suffer. 19Repent therefore and return (latin-convertimini-return root is converted, turn/change/convert upon) to the blotting out (erasing, wiping out, obliterating, removing) of your sins, so that times of refreshing (reviving) might come from the presence (face) of the Lord 20and that He might send the One having been appointed beforehand to you, Christ Jesus. 21Whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration (latin-restitutionis-restoration like restitution) of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from the age (ESV-from long ago, NASB-from ancient time). 22For Moses said, The Lord your God will raise up a prophet to you from out of your brothers like as me: You will listen to Him in all things, as many as He might say to you. 23And it will be that every soul who might not heed (listen) that prophet will be destroyed from out of the people. 24And all the prophets from Samuel and those successively (just after), as many as have spoken, also have proclaimed these days. 25You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, And in your seed will be blessed all the families of the earth. 26To you first, God having raised up His servant (paida), sent Him, blessing you by (in) turning away each one from your wickednesses (evils).
