with unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers coated with oil. Make them out of fine wheat flour,2and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil. You shall make them of fine wheat flour.
put them in a basket, and bring them in the basket, along with the bull and two rams. 3You shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, and bring the bull and the two rams.
Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.4You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.
Then take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe for the ephod, the ephod itself, and the breastpiece; fasten the ephod on him with its woven waistband.5Then you shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the coat and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastpiece, and gird him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
Put the turban on his head and place the holy diadem on the turban. 6And you shall set the turban on his head and put the holy crown on the turban.
Take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him. 7You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.
You must also bring his sons and clothe them with tunics. 8Then you shall bring his sons and put coats on them,
Tie the sashes on Aaron and his sons and fasten headbands on them. The priesthood is to be theirs by a permanent statute. This is the way you will ordain Aaron and his sons." 9and you shall gird Aaron and his sons with sashes and bind caps on them. And the priesthood shall be theirs by a statute forever. Thus you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.
You are to bring the bull to the front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons must lay their hands on the bull's head.10“Then you shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting. Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.
Slaughter the bull before the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 11Then you shall kill the bull before the LORD at the entrance of the tent of meeting,
Take some of the bull's blood and apply it to the horns of the altar with your finger; then pour out all the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. 12and shall take part of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and the rest of the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar.
Take all the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat on them, and burn them on the altar. 13And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the long lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar.
But burn up the bull's flesh, its hide, and its dung outside the camp; it is a sin offering." 14But the flesh of the bull and its skin and its dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering.
Take one ram, and Aaron and his sons are to lay their hands on the ram's head.15“Then you shall take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram,
You are to slaughter the ram, take its blood, and sprinkle it on all sides of the altar. 16and you shall kill the ram and shall take its blood and throw it against the sides of the altar.
Cut the ram into pieces. Wash its entrails and shanks, and place them with its head and its pieces on the altar.17Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and its head,
Then burn the whole ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to the LORD. It is a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to the LORD." 18and burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD. It is a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
You are to take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons must lay their hands on the ram's head.19“You shall take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram,
Slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on Aaron's right earlobe, on his sons' right earlobes, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Sprinkle the remaining blood on all sides of the altar. 20and you shall kill the ram and take part of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tips of the right ears of his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the great toes of their right feet, and throw the rest of the blood against the sides of the altar.
Take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle them on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. In this way, he and his garments will become holy, as well as his sons and their garments." 21Then you shall take part of the blood that is on the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and his sons’ garments with him. He and his garments shall be holy, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.
Take the fat from the ram, the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the fatty lobe of the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right thigh (since this is a ram for ordination);22“You shall also take the fat from the ram and the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails, and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and the right thigh (for it is a ram of ordination),
take one loaf of bread, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD;23and one loaf of bread and one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer out of the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD.
and put all of them in the hands of Aaron and his sons and wave them as a presentation offering before the LORD.24You shall put all these on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.
Take them from their hands and burn them on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the LORD; it is a fire offering to the LORD." 25Then you shall take them from their hands and burn them on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the LORD. It is a food offering to the LORD.
Take the breast from the ram of Aaron's ordination and wave it as a presentation offering before the LORD; it is to be your portion.26“You shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s ordination and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD, and it shall be your portion.
Consecrate for Aaron and his sons the breast of the presentation offering that is waved and the thigh of the contribution that is lifted up from the ram of ordination. 27And you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering that is waved and the thigh of the priests’ portion that is contributed from the ram of ordination, from what was Aaron’s and his sons’.
This will belong to Aaron and his sons as a regular portion from the Israelites, for it is a contribution. It will be the Israelites' contribution from their fellowship sacrifices, their contribution to the LORD." 28It shall be for Aaron and his sons as a perpetual due from the people of Israel, for it is a contribution. It shall be a contribution from the people of Israel from their peace offerings, their contribution to the LORD.
The holy garments that belong to Aaron are to belong to his sons after him, so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.29“The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him; they shall be anointed in them and ordained in them.
Any priest who is one of his sons and who succeeds him and enters the tent of meeting to minister in the sanctuary must wear them for seven days." 30The son who succeeds him as priest, who comes into the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place, shall wear them seven days.
You are to take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place. 31“You shall take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place.
Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket at the entrance to the tent of meeting.32And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket in the entrance of the tent of meeting.
They must eat those things by which atonement was made at the time of their ordination and consecration. An unauthorized person must not eat them, for these things are holy. 33They shall eat those things with which atonement was made at their ordination and consecration, but an outsider shall not eat of them, because they are holy.
If any of the meat of ordination or any of the bread is left until morning, burn up what is left over. It must not be eaten because it is holy." 34And if any of the flesh for the ordination or of the bread remain until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy.
This is what you are to do for Aaron and his sons based on all I have commanded you. Take seven days to ordain them. 35“Thus you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Through seven days shall you ordain them,
Sacrifice a bull as a sin offering each day for atonement. Purify the altar when you make atonement for it, and anoint it in order to consecrate it.36and every day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall purify the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall anoint it to consecrate it.
For seven days you must make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. The altar will become especially holy; whatever touches the altar will become holy." 37Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar shall become holy.
This is what you are to offer regularly on the altar every day: two year-old lambs.38“Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day regularly.
In the morning offer one lamb, and at twilight offer the other lamb.39One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight.
With the first lamb offer two quarts of fine flour mixed with one quart of oil from crushed olives, and a drink offering of one quart of wine. 40And with the first lamb a tenth measure of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering.
You are to offer the second lamb at twilight. Offer a grain offering and a drink offering with it, like the one in the morning, as a pleasing aroma, a fire offering to the LORD.41The other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as in the morning, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
This will be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance to the tent of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.42It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there.
I will also meet with the Israelites there, and that place will be consecrated by My glory.43There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory.
I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar; I will also consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve Me as priests. 44I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests.
I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.45I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God.
And they will know that I am Yahweh their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell among them. I am Yahweh their God." 46And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.
