Job Submits Himself to God

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
1Then Job replied to the LORD:1Then Job answered the LORD and said:1Then Job answered the LORD and said,1Then Job answered the LORD, and said,1Then Job replied to the LORD:
2"I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.2“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.2"I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.2I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.2I know that You can do anything and no plan of Yours can be thwarted.
3You asked, 'Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?' Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.3‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.3'Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?' "Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know."3Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.3You asked, "Who is this who conceals My counsel with ignorance?" Surely I spoke about things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.
4"You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.'4‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you make it known to me.’4'Hear, now, and I will speak; I will ask You, and You instruct me.'4Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.4You said, "Listen now, and I will speak. When I question you, you will inform Me."

5My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.5I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you;5"I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;5I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.5I had heard rumors about You, but now my eyes have seen You.
6Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."6therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”6Therefore I retract, And I repent in dust and ashes."6Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.6Therefore I take back my words and repent in dust and ashes.

The Lord Rebukes Job's Friends

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
7After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.7After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.7It came about after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has.7And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.7After the LORD had finished speaking to Job, He said to Eliphaz the Temanite: "I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken the truth about Me, as My servant Job has.
8So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has."8Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.”8"Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves, and My servant Job will pray for you. For I will accept him so that I may not do with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has."8Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.8Now take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. Then My servant Job will pray for you. I will surely accept his prayer and not deal with you as your folly deserves. For you have not spoken the truth about Me, as My servant Job has."
9So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the LORD told them; and the LORD accepted Job's prayer.9So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did what the LORD had told them, and the LORD accepted Job’s prayer.9So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD told them; and the LORD accepted Job.9So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.9Then Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD had told them, and the LORD accepted Job's prayer.

God Blesses Job

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
10After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.10And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.10The LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD increased all that Job had twofold.10And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.10After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his prosperity and doubled his previous possessions.
11All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.11Then came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they showed him sympathy and comforted him for all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him. And each of them gave him a piece of money and a ring of gold.11Then all his brothers and all his sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversities that the LORD had brought on him. And each one gave him one piece of money, and each a ring of gold.11Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.11All his brothers, sisters, and former acquaintances came to his house and dined with him in his house. They sympathized with him and comforted him concerning all the adversity the LORD had brought on him. Each one gave him a qesitah and a gold earring.
12The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.12And the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. And he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.12The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; and he had 14,000 sheep and 6,000 camels and 1,000 yoke of oxen and 1,000 female donkeys.12So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.12So the LORD blessed the last part of Job's life more than the first. He owned 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.
13And he also had seven sons and three daughters.13He had also seven sons and three daughters.13He had seven sons and three daughters.13He had also seven sons and three daughters.13He also had seven sons and three daughters.

14The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch.14And he called the name of the first daughter Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch.14He named the first Jemimah, and the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch.14And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.14He named his first daughter Jemimah, his second Keziah, and his third Keren-happuch.
15Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.15And in all the land there were no women so beautiful as Job’s daughters. And their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.15In all the land no women were found so fair as Job's daughters; and their father gave them inheritance among their brothers.15And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.15No women as beautiful as Job's daughters could be found in all the land, and their father granted them an inheritance with their brothers.
16After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.16And after this Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, four generations.16After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations.16After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.16Job lived 140 years after this and saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.
17And so Job died, an old man and full of years.17And Job died, an old man, and full of days.17And Job died, an old man and full of days.17So Job died, being old and full of days.17Then Job died, old and full of days.
